A warm welcome for new customers of Tesco Mobile
For Tesco Mobile, I collaborated with a colleague on the new welcome email for all customers who signed up for a subscription. While my colleague integrated the blocks from the master template, I built the interactive block entirely from scratch. Additionally, I thoroughly checked the entire email, identified errors and provided feedback for improvement so that the email could go live without issues.
The biggest challenge lay in Outlook’s dark mode. Outlook changes colors automatically, causing the text on the interactive block to turn black in dark mode. It was almost unreadable due to the image behind the text. After testing several times, I finally found the right solution to keep the text white in all Outlook clients, in both light and dark mode. The interactive block was incredibly fun to build and it was the dark mode challenge that made the project extra interesting.
